IN MEMORY OF FOGSESIPOD
IN REMEMBERANCE
From start to end, Fog's time in the community cemented his place as a core piece of it. Even on his first day in, he was helping others with issues they'd have: coding, setting up Oneloader, patches for in-game features or solving issues for other mods. Even if his first project, Headspace Expanded, was cut short due to a lack of motivation, the contributions he made to the community and his own self were already invaluable. In his own words, he had learned JavaScript language entirely from the plugins he'd make for himself and others as he worked on his projects throughout his beginning years.
He, however, did not stop at only this, and even after the fall of his own project, he kept up his determination to help those in the community and went on to use his newfound understanding of the JS language to help other mods with their own coding, asking for nothing in return. It was through this that Fog had ended up in almost every modding project, big or small, and had even achieved the title of being the modder who has the second highest number of contributed mods. As listed on mods.one, he has contributed to 20 different mods total, but only using the mods.one count would be a great disservice to quantifying just how helpful Fog was to the community.
Aside from his listed contributions, Fog has countless plugins and countless contributions made to other plugins in the form of fixes or optimization. Alongside that, Fog also was the main developer behind ONEMAKER MV, a modification to RPGMAKER MV itself which gives the engine countless new features to account for the extensive requirements that modding OMORI demands. In essence, becoming the core tool to making OMORI modding the easiest it's ever been.
Even still, all of these contributions listed still come short of expressing just how much of a core piece of modding and a beacon of support Fog was, and frankly, no amount of text ever can fully describe just how helpful he was to us.
But his contributions alone would not be enough to emphasize the importance he held to the meetings. What made Fog so memorable was not just his contributions, but his unending kindness and support for others. No matter who asked or when, he would reach out to help people the first opportunity he got with an easygoing and kind attitude, having no issues with explaining every part that people did not understand, even down to teaching someone what a "Windows" is.
What more, he was also an active member of the community, always participating in community events and communicating with others, even volunteering to be a community manager for the OMORI Modding Hub to ensure an ideal space for the community. It was his support and his behavior that made Fog so beloved to the community. Some even considered Fog to be the mascot of modding itself, with many mods featuring him or cameos to honor him.
Truly, it is impossible to explain just how important Fog was to us and to everyone in the community. From a great coder to an incredible friend, he was candidly what made the community's core itself.
SAYING GOODBYE
Even now, words escape us as we try to explain how much Fog meant to us as a member of the community, as an adept modder, and of course, as a friend. If you, however, have some parting words you'd like to say to him — thoughts, prayers, or just something you'd like to say about Fog overall — you can send your own messages down below once you have logged in. Selected messages will also be displayed in his online funeral service, which will be held at a later date. If you wish, you may also choose to be anonymous in your message or for your message to be kept private when submitting. We wish Fog a peaceful rest and an eternity of comfort on the other side.
